Code of Ethics

Interview Skills Coach is committed to upholding the highest professional standards and principles. This Code of Ethics outlines the guidelines and expectations we adhere to in our coaching practice.

Integrity and Professionalism

  1. I will act with integrity, honesty, and transparency in all aspects of my coaching practice.
  2. I will maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of my clients, ensuring that all personal information shared during coaching sessions remains confidential unless otherwise required by law or with the explicit consent of the client.
  3. I will maintain professional boundaries and avoid any conflicts of interest that may compromise the coaching relationship or the client’s best interests.
  4. I will continuously update and enhance my skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality coaching services.


Client-Centred Approach

  1. I will always prioritise the well-being and best interests of my clients.
  2. I will establish a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive coaching environment that encourages open communication and empowers clients to explore their goals, challenges, and aspirations.
  3. I will respect the autonomy and self-determination of my clients, acknowledging their unique perspectives, values, and cultural backgrounds.
  4. I will provide objective and unbiased guidance, refraining from imposing my personal beliefs, values, or agendas on clients.


Competence and Professional Development

  1. I will maintain a high level of competence and professionalism in my coaching practice.
  2. I will only offer coaching services within the boundaries of my qualifications, training, and expertise.
  3. I will commit to ongoing professional development and engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest coaching techniques, methodologies, and ethical guidelines.
  4. I will refer clients to other professionals or specialists when their needs fall outside the scope of my expertise.


Ethical Marketing and Business Practices

  1. I will conduct my coaching business in an ethical and responsible manner.
  2. I will provide accurate and truthful information about my qualifications, experience, and coaching services in all marketing materials and communications.
  3. I will respect intellectual property rights and give credit to the original creators of any materials, tools, or techniques I utilise in my coaching practice.
  4. I will establish clear and fair agreements with clients regarding fees, expectations, and the scope of services provided.


Professional Relationships and Collaboration

  1. I will foster collaborative and professional relationships with colleagues, recognising the value of diversity, mutual support, and shared learning.
  2. I will respect the reputation and credibility of the coaching profession and refrain from engaging in any behaviour that may discredit or undermine the profession.
  3. I will actively contribute to the development and advancement of the coaching field through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and professional networking.
  4. I will seek supervision or consultation when necessary to ensure the quality and effectiveness of my coaching practice.


By adhering to this Code of Ethics, we strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical conduct, and client-centred practice in my role as an Interview Skills Coach, NLP practitioner, and member of the Chartered Manager Association and the Association of Coaches.
